Are you a woman in digital beauty?  L’Oreal USA is looking for you!

For the sixth year, L’Oreal has opened its Women in Digital NEXT Generation Awards for female entrepreneurs. L’Oréal is looking for women-led businesses that are focused in the digital marketing, technology, and IT fields. The program offers women business owners the chance to gain notoriety, mentorship, expand their networks, connect with venture capitalists and partner on a pilot with one of more than 30 iconic L’Oréal brands.  Their vision is to “address the beauty industry with technology created by women for women.”

During the process, entrepreneurs will receive mentorship from beauty and tech industry executives and a professional coach. This year’s mentors include: THRIVE CEO Arianna Huffington, GE Vice Chair Beth Comstock, Facebook’s VP of Global Marketing Solutions Carolyn Everson and more.

The three top female entrepreneurs will present at L’Oréal’s Inspiration Day in September to more than 500 marketers. While in New York, finalists will also meet with potential investors and executives across disciplines and brands at L’Oreal USA. After presenting, the top finalist will partner with a L’Oreal USA brand to grow their business.

Previous Women in Digital NEXT Generation Awards winners run the gamut from app developers to media moguls to robotics operators. Notable past winners include Victoria Eisner, CCO & Co-Founder of GLAMSQUAD, Morgan DeBaun, CEO of Blavity, and Honoree Melody McCloskey, CEO of StyleSeat. Previous award recipients have raised upwards of $350 million in funding since the inception of these awards six years ago.

Criteria For The Women in Digital NEXT Generation Awards

L’Oreal makes this clear, this program isn’t for everyone. The are looking for women-led businesses and technologies that are already up and running. They really want “game-changers in the technology space, specifically those impacting the beauty business. Companies with proven success in other sectors that are looking to pivot their existing products into the beauty sector are also encouraged to apply.” L’Oreal is looking for businesses that can advance the use of artificial intelligence, virtual and artificial reality and live video and create meaningful and personal experiences for a beauty customers.
